The Allan Chesang Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to transforming lives through access to clean and reliable water. On June 6th June last year, the Foundation successfully drilled a borehole at St. Emmanuel Mixed High School in Trans-Nzoia County. This borehole will not only provide safe drinking water to students but will also benefit the larger community. To date, the Foundation has drilled over 25 boreholes across different parts of the county, with many more planned in the near future. “Our mission is to ensure that every school and community in Trans-Nzoia has access to clean water. With every drill, we bring hope and a better future to thousands of people,” said Hon. Allan Chesang, Founder of the Allan Chesang Foundation.
Our Aqua for Life Project focuses on drilling boreholes and installing water purification systems to provide sustainable, clean water sources to communities in need, improving health and reducing waterborne diseases. We have drilled up to 25 boreholes so far in different parts of Trans Nzoia County and we are targeting more and hopefully the predominant neglected tropical diseases mostly due to poor hygiene will be completely eradicated.
The water borehole drilling initiative has made significant progress in 2024. Recent milestones include:
This program not only ensures access to safe drinking water but also supports irrigation for small-scale farmers, promotes better hygiene, and reduces the burden on women and children who often travel long distances to fetch water. By working with local leaders, engineers, and environmental experts, the foundation ensures that the boreholes are strategically placed and maintained for long-term sustainability. Through this initiative, ACF is fostering healthier communities, enhancing food security, and driving social and economic empowerment across the region.
The Allan Chesang Foundation was established in 2015 as a registered non profitable organization with the aim of transforming the lives and livelihoods of vulnerable people through socially and economically inclusive programmes that maximize their opportunities.
