Nourish Kenya
The Allan Chesang Foundation (ACF) Food Donation Program, now part of the Nourish Kenya Program, is a key initiative addressing food insecurity in Trans Nzoia County, a region where agriculture is the primary source of income for most residents. Despite its agricultural potential, many families still struggle to access sufficient and nutritious food.
Through Nourish Kenya, ACF provides nutritious food packages and meals to vulnerable households, ensuring that no child or family goes to bed hungry. This program extends beyond emergency food relief by equipping farmers with Agribusiness mentorship, empowering them with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to thrive in agriculture and agribusiness. To enhance long-term food security, ACF also supports farmers by distributing cash crop seedlings, including avocado, mango, and macadamia, helping them transition to profitable and sustainable farming practices.
By working closely with local partners, agricultural experts, and community leaders, ACF fosters self-reliance and economic empowerment, ensuring that food security solutions are both sustainable and impactful. This initiative aligns with the foundation’s mission to uplift communities, combat hunger, and promote agricultural resilience in Trans Nzoia and beyond.
The Allan Chesang Foundation was established in 2015 as a registered non profitable organization with the aim of transforming the lives and livelihoods of vulnerable people through socially and economically inclusive programmes that maximize their opportunities.
