DIGNITY FLOW INITIATIVE
DIGNITY FLOW INITIATIVE
The Dignity Flow Initiative by the Allan Chesang Foundation (ACF) is a transformative program dedicated to promoting menstrual health and education to ensure that no girl misses school due to lack of access to sanitary products. Recognizing that menstrual health should never be a barrier to education, the initiative provides sanitary pads, menstrual health education, and hygiene support to young girls, enabling them to manage their periods with dignity and confidence.
Beyond distribution, the program fosters awareness and inclusivity by educating both girls and boys on menstrual health to reduce stigma and misconceptions surrounding menstruation. This approach not only empowers girls but also creates a supportive school and community environment where they can thrive.
So far, the Dignity Flow Initiative has reached over 5,000 girls, resulting in significant improvements in school attendance and participation. By addressing period poverty and menstrual stigma, the program contributes to lower dropout rates and a reduction in teenage pregnancies, ensuring that young girls can focus on their education and future aspirations. Through this initiative, ACF continues to champion gender equality, education, and health empowerment for young girls in Trans Nzoia and beyond.
The Allan Chesang Foundation was established in 2015 as a registered non profitable organization with the aim of transforming the lives and livelihoods of vulnerable people through socially and economically inclusive programmes that maximize their opportunities.
